• From Maison Florence, the ski resort of Gourette is the station of choice, 1400 -2700 metres, 35 minutes drive . There are several others in the area.

FARMHOUSE ACCOMODATION

IN THE PYRENEES

Skiing : Gourette  is the nearest resort situated at the head of the  Vallee d'Ossau. Other resorts in the area include  La Mongie/Tourmalet, Formigal (Spain), Artouste, Cauteret and La Pierre St. Martin. Gourette is approx 35 minutes travel, with a good all weather road and ample day parking, some of which is under cover. The resort has some 27 lifts and miles of runs from 1400 m to 2700 m.  Other resorts are approx 60-70 minutes drive.

Chains may be required at times after fresh snowfalls to get to the resorts but  shuttle buses run a regular schedule from the base of the mountain.
