Many of the activities locally have their own websites. Here are a few, of the many available, we have chosen to whet your appetite.
- From Maison Florence, the ski resort of Gourette is the ski station of choice, 1400M - 2700 and 45 minutes drive away. Artouste, La Mongie/Tourmalet and Cauteret are all an east day trip.
- The Tour de France visits the Pyrenees each year, several of its most famous mountain stages surround us, Marie blanque, Sodet, Aubisque.
- Grottes de Betherram. This cave network is reputed to be the largest in western europe.
- Pic du Midi observatory at the head of the Col de Tourmalet is world renowned.
- The Tourist offices of Pau, Oloron, and Lourdes, have useful information and news of all the current events.
- Foret Suspendu above Eau Bonne is a fun way for all the family to get a different perspective on the world.
- The "Petit Train d' Artouste' is an old mining railway winding its way through the mountains at 2000 meters to a mountain lake.
