Our farm, at 600 meters altitude, is in the heart of the Bearn region of the western Pyrenees, anarea world famous for trekking by foot or horse, climbing , cycling, trout and salmon fishing and hunting.
Wild animals abound including brown bears, wild boars, deer, wild cats and pine martens all rare in western Europe. we are bordered by a national park where the locals still follow the tradition of the "Transhummance", there are picturesque mountain villages full of local culture, hand milking and cheese making are still central to the farming community.
We are in range of day trips to Spain and the pilgrimage site of historic Lourdes is nearby. Rare and exotic birds and wildflowers abound and the scenery is breathtaking.
There are numerous activities for the adventurous in the area including skiing, cycling (road and VTT), white water rafting, paragliding, quad biking and hiking.
The farmhouse is situated amidst 27 hectares of its own pasture and woodland. We live 'on site' as well and will be here to greet you and ensure your holiday is as pleasant as possible. We run a small herd of the local cattle and sheep so there are calves lambs and animals to delight the younger guests.
